She was cold. She didn’t know much else but cold. And wet. Her best friend-or the girl she always thought of as her best friend- had left her here in this cold, wet place. They had been dry, staying under her umbrella, but then she left. Why did she leave? She would never ditch me for him, would she? She knew the answer, but refused to believe it. I know he’s her boyfriend, and she loves him, but she wouldn’t just leave me for him! She’s too nice for that! But then she remembered something she had told her once. “If I only have him, and no one else in the world, not even my friends, I would be happy.” And then she realized how cruel the world is. And she cried. And cried. She cried until she started laughing at herself, and how pathetic she was to believe that girl-no, that leech! - was her friend. She stood up and smiled in the rain. A new day was coming- one filled with justice and revenge.
