1) All Trapped have spiked bits with reins but never a bridle. They cannot feel physical pain, so although the spikes cause bleeding, it is more for affect then anything else.
2) No matter the Holder’s abilities, the reins are always held tight back. Again the Trapped cannot feel pain, it is just for dramatic looks.
3) When in the attack mode, the Trapped’s eyes glow red.
4) Attack mode also comes with fangs.
5) The Trapped pendant can have any color stone, cross, beads or chain, but always as this shape, style, etc.
6) Omin has a massive scar across his chest in the shape of an ‘x’. It looks to be a combination between a blade and burn scar. It’s thick, deep in places, rough in places, smooth in places and has no hair.
7) the Trapped can be white or black. They can also have any color eyes as long as they are dull. Aka no bright blue, but a lighter grey blue is alright. No yellow, but a dulled golden yellow is okay.
8) All Trapped have shackle/anklet scars around their hind ankles, just above the joint.
9) In attack form the hooves look shabby, splintered, chipped, etc.

The Trapped are souls attached to specially created pendants. Typically they are souls that did wrong in their lives and the evilness, the sin, the tainted nature of their existence is what draws them to an unattached pendant. Once the soul is adhered to the pendant by the pendant maker, cursed so to speak, the only way to release them is destroy the pendant itself.
Anyone can be a Holder. A Holder is simply someone who is wearing the pendant. The pendant allows them to have complete control over the soul and it’s new form. This doesn’t mean the Trapped can only do what the Holder commands, but if the Holder commands it cannot refuse.
Commands come in the form of mental suggestions. The Holder can also say the commands out loud, but it isn’t necessary. Of course commands can only be things the Trapped is capable of:
1) becoming invisible or any variation between 100% there and 100% not
2) can be solid or allow things to pass through
3) can be ordered to scare or actually physically attack (see attack form)
4) can change size, anything from the size of a mouse or large bug to the size of an elephant or bigger, but always maintaining the Trapped form (see Trapped form)


Trapped form
The Trapped always looks like a mint condition Friesian horse. This includes the feathered hooves, long mane, long tail. They also always have scars on their hind feet, just above the ankle. Somewhere between burns and long term rubs, as if they were or had been chained with shackles. They can be black, white or any shade in between. Their eyes can be any color, but it must be a dulled or darkened form of that color. Dark gold, dark brown, muddy yellow, steel grey, etc. They always look fit and healthy, with shinny coats and good weight. Their riding equipment always looks the same. Dark brown leather reins and saddle (English, Western or Australian), silver metal including the bit. And the bit itself always has spikes, causing the Trapped’s mouth to bleed. However, Trapped feel no physical pain. The only acceptation to this is if the Handler needs the Trapped to blend in, in which case the spikes can go away and the bleeding stopped.

Attack form
This form isn’t used for only attacking, but for frightening, etc. Their eyes change to blood red and glow. The Trapped’s coat, mane and tail can become shabby and frazzled. Their perfectly shaped hooves, become rough, cracked and over grown. Four extra teeth grow just behind their front ones, and are always sharp, long fangs/canines. The attack form is basically a type of defense for the Handler.

Being a Trapped
Though Trapped cannot feel physical pain, emotional pain is another story. This is a form of punishment for the soul. Those that were power hungry, arrogant, greedy are often most attracted to the unoccupied pendant and so get to live an after life of not being in control. Not only do they have to do as the Holder says or thinks, but they cannot verbally communicate with anyone. Also, since they affectively haunt the pendant, only when it is being worn are they aware of the world. When the pendant is not being warn they are in a sort of limbo where they get to experience their affect on other while they had been alive. Be it sadness, pain, loneliness, anxiety or anything else those around them had to suffer with.

The Trapped are pretty much just that until the pendant is destroyed. But in rare, very rare cases, the Handler feels that the soul has done enough, or warrants being released. In which case a ritual similar to the making of the pendant must be performed. Afterward the soul is released and able to move on, leaving the pendant free to attract another soul. Some Handlers become attached to their Trapped and vise versa and remain together for a long time. Some Handlers even pass their Trapped down through the generations.

Other things may vary between different Trapped depending on the soul inside. Scars are the most common expression of things from the soul’s life. But things like accessories are also possible. Accessories like jewelry, harnesses, braids in the mane/tail, etc.

Souls that were male translate to stallions. Souls that had been female translate to mares.

Being a Handler
A Handler can be anyone, human or otherwise. Of course what the Trapped is used for depends on the Handler. If the Handler is a tainted being themselves, the Trapped can be used for murder, to cause fear, spying, etc, etc. If the Handler is anything else the Trapped can be used for a companion, a mount, a defense, etc.

It takes no special abilities to use or have a Trapped. But it does to make a pendant, so there are few of them out there. Few and far between. Most of the Makers have long since died so the pendants that are around are rather ancient.
