So! I usually paint directly in color with normal mode blending (is like my training for getting more sensible with color hues and values).

Today i took a different approach using the new "airbrush" brushes from krita.

Wanted to give the portrait a more textury feel, trying to show different layers of overlayed texture. For this, using mostely selection tool.

The result: Took me 3 times longer :'v. Still is an interesting process with very interesting results.
