Description
I really need to finish old projects before I start new ones :') Anyway! I actually really like how this came out. I've never drawn a comic in this format before, but I like it a lot.This is an idea I've had floating around my brain pretty much since I started watching Miraculous Ladybug, so I decided to draw it out! I'm not sure how many more parts there are going to be, but I don't think it will be that many //famous last words//

I like how you have Chat/Adrien's thoughts on a black background, like it's a little depressing, but it's 'cause he genuinely thinks she doesn't love the real him.
This is really nice so far, and the layout is good, too. keep up the good work!

I like how you're not afraid to play with different camera angles, and the slight pops of color amongst the grays-it expresses the tone of your story very well.

Yes thank you! THANK YOU! People always make Marinette seem like the insecure one with the whole 'he doesn't love the real me he likes Ladybug' once she finds out, even though that's complete BS because Chat Noir said it didn't matter who it was under the mask, but that he loved her, while she may not know this she doesn't really think twice about Chat's feelings for her(him loving her comes naturally to her as day does). Also, she was insecure about being Ladybug for a while, but Tikki fixed that already. Many episodes ago. So really, she's a confident little bug except when it comes to Adrien, but that's as far as it goes in terms of insecurity.
Now what I did notice is that the whole 'not loving the real me' actually applies to Adrien. Thomas Astruc himself confirmed Adrien finally does what he wants to do when he wears the mask, so really he's more himself as Chat than he is as Adrien as he isn't restrained by his father or society in his actions or mannerisms. And Marinette, sadly, loves the more polite and restrained persona. For now. As she confirmed in a webisode that had there been no Adrien she would have considered Chat Noir as she quote on quote said "I think he's a little in love with me"(huge understatement but enough that shows she is aware he has feelings for her) and she could eventually love him on her own without even finding out Chat's identity so long as she gets over Adrien.
Sorry for ranting but I just had to get my feelings out. Anyway, you don't have to worry about your art, it is wonderful! The black and white tones match well with the mood of the comic and I loved how you still color in the eyes. I hope you continue this as this is one of the few times I see a reveal comic where Marinette isn't being victimized.

aaA I feel the same way!! I've always thought as Adrien as the more emotionally unstable of the two. mean, from Marinette's perspective, Adrien still doesn't know her well, and he seems to enjoy her company. Plus, she has the whole "I'm a superhero" thing going for her to give her confidence since she doesn't know Adrien is Chat. And lets not forget she has a wonderful, supportive family. Honestly, things in her life are just where she wants them to be. For Adrien, however, the one person he loves has made it clear she doesn't love him back in that way, and that's the only time he's being himself. I feel like they both show their true selves when they're wearing the masks, and while Adrien and Marinette don't know each other well, Chat and Ladybug know each other's personalities very well. Adrien fell in love with a real person, while Marinette fell in love with an unattainable dream.
