A reference sheet I doodled for our beloved Skele-Family. This was drawn with mine and a friend's role play in mind, so the concepts here might not apply to any other art I do of them... but you never know. I really like how it turned out.

I think Gaster's design turned out the best. I love his eyes and how they glow when his magic kicks into gear, and the side view of him with his lower crack and turtleneck came out better than I expected it to. I was contemplating on whether I should've done those lines on Sans' hand to his, but the hole in his palm got in the way, so I gave up on those. I think it actually looks better without, so I may just remove them from the brothers as well. He doesn't smile much, and when he does it doesn't even come close to Papyrus' constant grin, but I think his petite smile is charming.

Papyrus was a funny one to do, since I don't draw much of him, but I think this design suits him well. For some reason I find he's hard to draw, but I'm happy with how he turned out; the scarf didn't really come out how I wanted it to, but I think it's fine like this. He's wearing gloves, but underneath his hands look just like Sans', only bigger. And I figured since Sans' left eye glows blue, Papyrus' glows bright orange; technically, since Gaster's magic is purple his eye should be glowing red, but red just didn't seem fitting for him... I figured we might as well just go with the theory that their father's magic didn't split equally between them, so their colors altered. Oh, but just look at that precious little cinnamon roll!! Don't you just wanna pinch his little cheekbones...?

Now for Sans, I've already drawn him a couple times, but I was never really pleased with how he turned out. The fandom just has so many interpretations of him, it was hard to settle on one that would be my own, but I think I managed. His jacket is fluffy, of course, and naturally his left eye glows light blue. Unlike Papyrus and Gaster, I left the corners of his smile rounded off to make into more of an 'I can't really read this guy' smile. His hands are super smol and adorable, but don't be fooled; he can still kick your butt if he wants to. I know the majority of the fandom likes to make him really short and all, but I don't really take that approach... it's cute though, I have nothing against it. So Papyrus is the tallest, with Gaster shorter than him by half a head, and Sans going up to Gaster's shoulder. He's still the shortest, but he's not short per se.
