As much as I love this, I have to say in real life it tends not to work that way... from personal experience, when you fall in love with your best friend... you lose both your love and your best friend.

Well that was depressing and possibly unnecessary to comment on lol but I think it really depends on the people involved! There's all kinds of different situations/scenarios.
I do think though that it's much more common for people to become best friends as they're falling in love. But friends to dating does indeed happen too! : D
