AHHH I love your color scheme here! So soft and nice! I also absolutely love how you used the texture brushes, especially in the bottom drawing. Really gives it a hand-drawn, authentic feel. Like it's just come out of a design sketchbook idK?? i'm bad at explaining but it's so good XD
I'm excited to see more of Ira and Noelle on here THEY ARE SO GODDAMN CUTE OMGGG <3333

Thank you!! It is a cute coat.
My hair isn't curly though it has a very slight wave to it. It's pretty thick. You could totally do a fishtail braid, it'd be easier with straight hair!! In fact, I did one today and I made sure my hair was pretty straight and slick beforehand.

yeah look up a youtube tutorial!! that's how I learned. it's honestly really simple- you have two parts of hair instead of three like a normal braid, and you're overlapping them. but yes look it up~

Ohhh okay, maybe I'll try the reverse today!! I had a fishtail yesteday but it only lasted a little while because it was so windy out. Cries.
Sea salt spray? : o Interesting. I have a few different products I like to put in my hair. A couple make my hair more straight and shiny; my hair naturally has a slight wave but not enough of a wave to be wavy lol. Unfortunately. I wish my hair was naturally more wavy. I also have curling mousse that I put in before curling my hair or scrunching it... I haven't tried scrunching my hair in a while. Like, when it's damp, and scrunching it up to the top of your head to try to make it wavy? Idk I often peruse hair tutorials because I want to try to learn stuff. I'm not naturally adept at it at all sdlkgj. Like, I couldn't french braid until a month or so ago. I finally succeeded in doing it- and of course, just a side french braid. I have no idea how one would do that to the back of the head by oneself.
I'm trying to learn how to do more things with my hair though~ Is your hair the length it is in your devID right now? Mine- oh I was gonna describe it but then I realized it would be easier to link pictures pff maybellecoffee.tumblr.com/tagg…

I hate it when you spend hours doing your hair and then it gets windy or rains
Curling mousse would work just as well I think, as long as you blow dry afterwards so your hair doesn't go stiff. Anything that gives your hair some texture should work. My mum has the most beautiful ringlets that I wanted so badly, then as I got older my hair got wavy and I loved it, I never had to do anything to it. Now it's somewhere between very wavy and curly and it's absolute hell to deal with D: That's why I chopped it, before I did it would strangle me in my sleep. I wish I was kidding
I worked at a hair salon for a little while when I was younger, so I learnt a few things. Don't worry about the french braid, my hair dresser can't do one on herself, she swears it's impossible My cousin taught me how to do it when I was like 11 but now I can't remember how D:
It's grown about 2 inches since that photo, it's ridiculous, I'm going to have to get it trimmed every 6 weeks just to keep it short now! But I might even go shorter next time now that it's getting hot here in Australia. Your hair is the perfect length to play around with! Since you've got the side french braid down, you should try this www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yZgOO… it looks gorgeous, I think it'll really suit you She has a lot of different style tuts if you ever want to try something new

dmf,ns I know!! I love the rain, and I love the sound of wind, but not when I need to go outside and I did my hair all nice pff.
Oh wow omg. Your hair looks really pretty though! Waves are so nice. ;_; Yeah I have no idea how anyone could frenchbraid the back of their head. BLACK MAGIC.
Oh yeah, it's spring for you rn! I always find that so odd omg how the seasons are reversed in the different hemispheres. Because I'm so used to my own season schedule. I still need to really practice the side french braid- though I can do it, I can't necessarily do it well lolol.
Woah whaaat that waterfall hairstyle is so pretty!! Oh man I want to learn. I'M GONNA DO THIS.
It's so hard for me to do hair stuff because my hands don't adapt to it well.

Me too, I adore rain just not when I've spent 2 hours straightening my hair
Thank you Your hair is really nice, I'd die for it It does look really pretty in that photo where it's wavy though, so keep doing that Black magic, that's the most accurate description I've ever heard
Yup I know, it especially gets confusing when you have friends scattered around the world and you have to remember which country/season they're in >.<
Figuring it out is always the hardest part, so you'll be great at it in no time I'm sure
I know! My friend always used to wear her hair like that and I was so jealous but too lazy to do it myself because my hair took forever to straighten when it was long and it doesn't look as nice with curls It's pretty easy though! I totally just tried this five minutes ago www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPHEzU… it actually worked, I didn't think my hair would be long enough but I just made it around It looks so nice though so I'm not going to take it out even though it's like 2 am
I think this is the same as art, practice makes perfect (though there's no such thing as perfect it's close enough ) I used to be terrible when I was 15, spent a little while at a hair salon, watched a lot of youtube videos and as long as I see how something's done I can usually recreate it myself now. The hardest part is trying to get your hands and fingers used to the movement, weaving quickly and that, so if you keep on braiding a lot everything else should get easier too. Luckily enough there's a crap tonne of tumblr blogs and youtube videos dedicated to hair And if you ever have any questions you can always ask me, I might not know the answer but I'll try to help

Oh my gosh, would it really take 2 hours? Is that when your hair was quite a bit longer?
kldjgl thank you! Omg. I like my hair a lot sometimes and other times I'm just like... why. It's like, some people seem to have such flawless hair but I'm sure they worked for it.
Oh man you're inspiring me to try all these hair things sdgkl. The only thing I really have to do today is work on ceramics and maybe do my math homework, so... maybe I'll dedicate today to hair! That hairstyle looks super pretty too. I just wish I was better at this stuff. But if I practice... and I've been more inspired lately, idk why.
Mmhmm, getting your hands to do what you want is definitely the worst. And sometimes in videos I watch, the person makes it seems so easy, and the hair just separates effortlessly- and my hair gets all tangled and terrible. I often have to straighten it with a straightening iron or at least try to smooth it before I attempt to do anything fancy/hard like just french braiding the side.
Ahh thank you, I'll let you know how my efforts go pff. I should totally start dedicating dA journals to my hair adventures LOL not that anyone would really care

Oh yeah, sometimes even longer. It was to the middle of my back, and I had about 3 or 4 layers in it because it was so thick, it was a nightmare D: But I really loved having it that long
Welcome Oh gosh, I have the same thing, sometimes I think it looks really nice (usually when I don't have to leave my house) and then other days it looks like a birds nest that got caught in a tornado I know some people who just have really nice hair, but it's probably because they treat it well, I've dyed and bleached the crap out of mine so it's no wonder
Ooh you do ceramics as well? My mum used to do that when she was younger, I was always jealous That's it! Practice I know it sounds really cheesy but it's so true, everything gets easier after time
In 90% of hair tuts those girls start out with straightened hair that already has all the product they need in it, so don't worry. Straightening is the easiest way to get rid of tangles, plus french braids look nice with straight hair If I'm too lazy though I usually just run my fingers through every inch of my hair for a few minutes to get rid of as many tangles to start with. But because your hair's longer when you're braiding and that it will get tangled pretty easy, so keep separating the bottom of the braid and that as you go.
You should totally do that! Or you could put it on your tumblr I'd like to see how you're going and what styles you're trying I really have to make a tumblr, I've been in denial so long, now I just want one I don't even care

I bet it was really pretty! Long long hair is only nice if it has a good amount of thickness to it. I'm gonna try to grow mine out pretty long- it's quite thick, which is funny because it used to be very fine when I was a kid. So my mom couldn't do much with it at all lol.
I've never dyed or bleached my hair or anything. : o I want to put in highlights though... Getting it at a salon would be nice but expensive so I think I could just buy a pack thing and have my friend who is good at hair stuff do it?? I'm just worried about how it'd turn out though lol. But she's had experience with dying/bleaching, though not specifically putting in highlights.
Haha I'm in an intro to ceramics class- I definitely don't know what I'm doing. Sob. I have to take all the intro art classes for my major. I emailed my professor because I don't even know where I'm going with making a small suitcase right now... I hope he got back to me so I can go work on it today CRIES
Gosh I got up at like 6:30am like usual but I haven't done much today at all ;_; Except draw but... yeah w/e it's sunday
Yeah I try to smooth out the bottom of the braid. I'm going to go try to do something with my hair now I think.

Some times That's probably why you have a bit of a wave to it, thick hair usually does, fine hair is usually very straight. It's nice having long hair as long as you have the patience and time to deal with it
That's good! I kinda regret everything I've done to my poor hair D: It's just so fun to change the colour all the time If your friend's done normal hair colouring before, it's not much different to highlights, in the pack you'll get a hair net kinda thing with holes all through it and a little stick with a hook on the end, you pull the hair through the hole and apply the colour to it, then wash it out like normal dye. Easy-peasy Just make sure not to go too many shades lighter than your natural colour on the first try.
Ah okay, so you're doing an art major then? I hope you figure it out Making a small suitcase in ceramics?? That... sounds very weird
Oh geez, an early bird on the internet?? I don't believe it! I wish I could do that. I'm having a lot of trouble with insomnia at the moment, I lay awake all night, manage to drift off around 5-6 am and then wake up 2-4 hours later D: That's okay though, like you said it's Sunday, they're meant to be lazy days
Let me know what you end up doing with it!
I know I haven't yet because I honestly have that much trouble trying to keep up with everything I have at the moment, I mean if I don't log in to dA every day to clear out my messages I end up with so many messages and watch notices that it takes me days to go through them I watch way too many people. I talk to too many people too but like that's ever stopped me before But I mean I was saving my friends/artist's I watch tumblrs to my bookmarks and just checking them every once in a while when I had time I have so many in my favourites now I can't find anything So tumblr it is You make gifs?? Haha yeah I'll see how long it gets. It does require more effort though. The shortest I've ever had it was a bob cut, all the way back in 8th grade. That look was cute, but I'm not sure if I'd go back to it... I also used to have bangs and I grew them out in early high school. I think about getting them again, but then I wouldn't be able to stuff like side french braid and just other hair things. It would be harder. :/ Maybe one day.
Oh yeah definitely, I won't go very much lighter. I think the look would be nice though.
Yep!! I'm very ambitious and passionate about going into the art field. Drawing all day every day. @_@
LOL yeah it's rare... I wasn't this way at all until a few months ago. Before that, I was staying up until 3am or so, getting up around 10am. But now I go to bed at about 10pm and get up at about 6am. The change was very much to do with medication but now it's just a habit which I'm happy about- it's definitely a positive change. : D I stayed up late to do stuff but now I just reverse it and do stuff in the morning when I get up- which is better anyway bc I usually feel more motivated to do things. Normally after I've had my coffee though pff. I like to wake up and read!
I talk to a lot of people too but IT'S TOO FUN NOT TO. No one can stop us.

Lol well the cut itself sounds fine except for the asymmetrical bangs tbh xD Oh gosh yeah, that's another reason I'm wary of bangs- unfortunately my hair and skin get oily and so bangs combined with my forehead can look really gross. They'll be fluffy for a while and then they'll just be... urgh.
Hahahaha yes omg. I would love to illustrate children's books or work in animation. *_* Omg doing concept art or character design, that's a dream. I have no idea what I'll be doing later lol. But for now I just have to work at it~
Aww that really sucks. D: I'm sorry your sleep schedule is so messed up. I have a friend who goes back and forth between having an okay/normal sleep schedule for a school and a just terrible random sleep schedule of someone nocturnal.
OH you mean the "Wang Fire" one? I love that part so much omfg. I thought you didn't have a tumblr though? : o Lol I do have a huge list omg. Though I've been giffing for 2 years now.

Ohh okay. And yeah, bangs can be problematic. D: But they can also be really cute. THE DILEMMA.
I can't animate at all yet- omg I want to learn. I'm going to take classes on it, keep studying movement, work on it on my own... I've been thinking about going to grad school for animation. There's one that looks really nice in Ontario. But, not only is that far, but it's in a whole different country lol. Idk. But yes doing anything in art would be amazing. Animation and illustration are just the two things I really love. Character design would be dkfjadlkf *_*
I don't think jumping back is easy or fun for her, I don't even know omfg.

There are, like there's schools in California and then a school in Vancouver, which is still Canada but it's a ton closer than Ontario lol. I've always wanted to go to Vancouver.
Hahaha yeah some people always manage to stay caught up with stuff. I don't actually watch things THAT often, really? Idk. Not anymore, anyway, though I still love to watch stuff. I tend to spend free time drawing/painting (which is more like working time I guess but I'm doing it for enjoyment), but also reading and watching things. Just not as many things as I used to, I think. I guess it depends. I watch movies ofc, too. I was on a Hitchcock kick a while ago. I love his stuff omg.
This is kind off topic but
I am 19 and really need my first job experience already jfc

omgfkgjl yeah I don't like marathoning at all. I almost never do. and my version of watching something quickly is maybe watching 3-5 episodes of something in a day? which is a lot for me, and it is for most people actually- it just seems like I know or see a lot of people who watch stuff way too fast.4
D: I'm sure there's lots of different Hitchcock compilations you can get though, especially if you look on Amazon. Hmmm I really like Strangers on a Train and The Birds (which I saw years ago, one of the first ones I'd seen). OH and Rear Window, I love Rear Window. That one is definitely a favorite.
Ahh yeah my friend works at the Subway I'm applying to. It'd be easy to get a job there, most likely, because people leave all the time- but the reason people leave all the time is that it apparently is terrible to work there l o l. But it'd be better than nothing. And it's not like I'd have it forever... maybe just until I'd get something else.
But, I applied on Thursday online and I still haven't gone over there to physically hand in a resume/cover letter. I'm not sure when I should do it but I keep forgetting/not doing it.

Thank you It's not the first time someone's complimented me on that actually
The only time I ever do that is when my dad and brother are away, and then my mum and I just watch TV shows when she's home from work. That's when I got her into Vampire Diaries, we started Season 1 when season 3 had just finished and we were waiting for season 4 together by Monday But I can't handle it anymore than that D: I usually watch a max of 2-3 episodes in the same day, unless it's shorter or something like Gravity Falls, then I can watch more. One of my friends had final exams on when the new season of Game of Thrones came out, so she had to wait a month to watch it and when she finally got to she told me 'I'm going to watch 2 eps a day so it lasts a while.' The next morning she sent me a message saying 'I FINISHED IT. ONE DAY. I FINISHED IT IN ONE DAY.' along with this 25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m9l…
Yep, Amazon's the next stop, as long as shipping doesn't cost more than the actual DVD's :/ Strangers on a Train is my all time favourite! I have The Birds but I haven't watched it yet, Rear Window was really good, and Vertigo's another of my favourites
A lot of people I know work at fast food joints until they get something better, so maybe that's why people leave all the time? *hopeful* If not then yeah, I'd keep applying for something different while you're there :/
'But I keep forgetting/not doing it', that should be the catchphrase for my life D: I'd try to get it in as soon as possible though, you don't want to leave it any longer than a week really.

Hmm I don't watch too much with my parents because they tend to like different shows- but we watched the first 3 seasons of Boardwalk Empire together this summer! Now I guess we'll have to wait forever to watch season 4 since we watch it on DVDs and it's not like they'd watch it online w me lol. I also used to watch Downton Abbey with my mom, and when I went away to school last year, we were gonna continue season 3 and talk about it together but she ended up finishing it and I didn't, and she hated it- I had been spoiled for it anyway. And the spoilers made me not want to watch it anymore. :/
Oh yeah my mom started Game of Thrones, saw the first season. I never finished the third season oops. Also I made her start OUAT but she never got through season 1. Gdi.
Yeah Vertigo was really good!! That ending... omg. The irony. AND THE MUSIC. I love Bernard Hermann. Have you ever seen Taxi Driver? He composed that too. I love that movie so much.
Should I call them first, asking about future interviews, before I turn in a resume/cover letter?? How doooo

There are quite a few shows I have in common with my parents, more with my mum. She hated Boardwalk Empire, wouldn't watch more than the first episode, then she got home from work one night when I was watching some later episodes of it and she was like 'what is this it's fantastic!' Same here, luckily my brother downloads a lot of TV shows for us I haven't seen Downton Abbey, not my kind of show. I hate that so much, another reason I don't have a tumblr, I'm always behind and there are SO MANY SPOILERS IT MAKES ME WANT TO CRY
I love GoT, that, The Walking Dead and Boardwalk Empire are my favorite shows (and Gravity Falls, ) My mum actually got me into OUaT but she hasn't seen the second season yet
I know right! Oh he music was wonderful too I haven't seen Taxi Driver yet, it's been on my list for ages, but I've never been able to find it on DVD, I'm gonna have to buy it online I think
I think you should hand in your resume and that first, I mean they won't want to talk about an interview before they have your resume. If you have a cell phone number as your contact detail make sure you have it on you as frequent as possible, if not make sure to check your messages and get back to them as soon as possible. You want to be punctual and on the ball about those things, they won't bother interviewing you if they think you're not really interested, you know what I mean? Make sure they know you want the position, take initiative!!

Hahaha I don't mind questions at all. :'D
Yes, I have a story around her, though not all the details yet- she's a figure skater who is extremely interested in fashion. In fact, the fashion is probably what got her into figure skating as a kid because she thought everyone looked so beautiful- but then she realized she loved the sport, too. For some reason, though, and I don't have the reason yet lol, she stopped figure skating around middle school and then she picks it back up in mid-high school- which is where this story starts in its present.
Here's all my figure skating story stuff: maybelletea.deviantart.com/gal…
I really love my three main characters- the problem is that I still can't name my main guy. ;_; I have everyone else named so far, though.
