I wanted to try something different here, inspired by Aurasama 's art, where in one piece she did grayscale for most of it with some color.

I'd never painted in grayscale but it really made me want to try it, so I got some ink and decided I wanted to paint a drawing of Yumi and Sachiko from Maria-sama ga Miteru I'd done in grayscale except where they were kissing. :D

I think I was pretty successful? Painting with the india ink was interesting since it's waterproof (which I didn't realize when I bought it) so you can't manipulate it once it's dry on the paper. Except for adding new washes of course.

I stopped in the middle of season 2 of Marimite and I really need to get back on that. ;_;

Schmincke watercolors, Sakura Micron ink pens, Dr. Ph Martin's black India Ink.
