Description Rain droplets on a white grevillea. I'm just amazed by the number of them that have reflections in them. Please view in FULL VIEW.

Other photos from the same day...

I really value every comment, , and I can no longer thank everyone for Faves individually, but please know that I'm grateful and very happy to receive them, they mean a lot.

Love the close-ups you're doing, they're so beautiful! I have a thing for waterdrops, too, but don't have a camera good enough to capture them like this

The grevillea one was my new camera, this one was my old camera but it's the lens that works the magic, it's a proper macro lens.  Just a Tamron - the cheapest macro you can get.  I *think* it was $90.  And a tripod which is essential.

Wayne has a Canon SLR (I think)...should get him to show me how to use it.  I only have one of those happy-snap cameras that you can't do a lot with other than take happy-snaps..lol Or my phone...I take heaps of photos on my iPhone, but again, can't do much with settings, etc.

I only had a happy-snap until July 2012 and I loved photography then too!  I do have to admit that the DSLR has changed my life entirely though.  But I had to work at it.  I'd say it took me a year to learn 'enough' about the camera.  And even then, it was doing a 3-hour macro course that made the penny finally drop.  The instructor was fantastic, and all the things I *knew* suddenly made absolute sense, and then I was off and nobody has been able to stop me.

It might be a long weekend but I am still working tomorrow and should have been today apart from a breakdown at work. Never mind it keeps the wolf from the door.

Work's a menace isn't it?  David has been working this weekend too.  He had Wed off and now working every day until next Sat.  At least he has both days of next weekend off.  Quote from our 5 year old granddaughter on hearing that he had to work "Oh" *downcast look* "You really need 2 days off at the weekend because days off make you unpuffed!"  She's a crack up!
Hopefully you get paid for the breakdown time

Why thank you Gigi. I know I was really stoked as I came in from the garden and looked at the photos. I did one trip around the garden with the big lens and one with the macro over about 20 minutes or so and was so excited by how many shots I was really happy with. Thank you so much for ing them all
