Description I was so surprised and excited to win First Prize in the Beginners Category with this garden at the WAMA Annual Show 2014.

The container is a frozen yogurt tub and I made pretty well everything except the rocks, and the sticks and chain for the swing. To give you an idea of scale, the swing is 2" high by 1" wide. The trees and bushes are made of jute (hairy string), wire and coloured (by me) sawdust (which was created by David). The grass is sawdust coloured with acrylic paint as well. The blossom tree and flowers at the back are wire and finely chopped kitchen sponge. The white trellis was carefully cut from a plastic tray that a cake was on. The bull-rushes are jute and brown paint. Oh and I made the birdbath and bird of polymer clay.
The new resident of this garden is the lovely and she tells me that her pet (seen here on the birdbath) is named Blaze. I hope you have many peaceful and happy days looking at the flowers and swinging on the Dewdrop!

I had a little chat with the bird and he tells me that he secretly calls himself Blaze. Β A strange name for a little bluebird, you might think, but his big ambition is to be a phoenix! Β

I think he may have been reading Harry Potter

HI! May Yes you pick, for now I am not busy yet

so pick a time and day and its a date

I answered your poll, and I forgot to add I did see where you did a critique

on a photo, You did a really fabulous job of it too, not sure you are referring to that one

but maybe they have not been back on DA yet

I just finished work, its 9:24 pm and heading to bed soon so won't answer all messages tonight.

I spent 3 hours Β taking photos of frosted leaves and flowers this morning ( I was in Frosty heaven )

Β and I guess I bent over to much too long

Have a kink in my back ohhhhh I might have to take a muscle relaxant tonight, hope it doesn't last to long

we have a SPyder ride planned tomorrow Β afternoon and ATV ride SUnday morning

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MayEbony In reply to gigi50 [2013-10-05 09:50:09 +0000 UTC]

That will be wonderful.Β  How about Monday if nothing else crops up?Β  Just Note me when you're up and about and we'll go from there

The critique was accepted last night (my time) and when I got up 9 hours later there still wasn't a thanks.Β  I don't expect gushing, just a plain thank you is all I hope to get.Β  I don't do critiques for the thanks, I do them to give a gift, but I do expect a thank you - if you can see the difference between those 2.Β  I Noted the person at the 9 hour mark and carefully worded (so as not to hurt) that I was really disappointed.Β  We've had some chats, and I later found in my messages a thanks from her for another Fave and comment that she *did* do '9 hours ago'.Β  She said that she thought thank you wasn't enough for the Critique, though what she was planning I don't know, because of course I'd spoken up by then so if she was planning to say thank you she won't now.Β  Well, she has, but only after I complained.Β  However, I really think I was wrong, having later seen her other thank you, so I've apologised for being hasty.Β  David said I was too fast to grumble but if she'd accepted the Critique and 9 hours had passed...Β  I felt that it only took a second to send a thanks.Β  Just a whole jumble in the end.Β  The previous Critique that I'd done went without comment or thanks so I guess I reacted too soon to this one being ignored.Β  A shame, but (I hope) understandable.Β  Oh well - these things happen and I hope I stop feeling bad soon

I hope you are sleeping well by now Gigi.Β  We've had a family birthday gathering so I had to miss my miniatures meeting.Β  I've only been to one so far so it's a shame to miss, but family are more important for sure.

Can't wait to see your photos, but do hope that your back is OK when you wake up!Β  Don't want to be uncomfortable for your adventures!!!

Monday morning is good and yes I will note you

I am going to be behind on DA because I have been editing now

Will answer a few messages when need a break

SO yes I would say you did jump to the guns but then I probably would have done the same

after not getting good responses in previous ones but don't forget when we have many messages we don't necessarilyΒ

see all from the same people right away and I think you do know that anyway, it was a moment hahaha! Like I had

with that teenager who told me all my B&W were badly edited it will pass and don't feel bad. it happens to the best of us

and again you had really done a superb job at that critique

My back is a little better and hopefully will continue to do so

Hubby will be up soon and off we will go on Spyder, sun is shinning, it is windy but overall a nice day here sitting at 13C
