It really is. I'm from Perth, so Tassie looked so lush and green to us!

Fairies sound very beautiful, and very suitable for that scene.

Either Note me when you want them and I'll unlock it for a while, or Note me your email address and I'll email them to you. I'm guessing you could receive them at 5 meg each by email? I know we emailed a while ago but I didn't keep your address.

Tasmania & the Northern Territory are the only 2 states in Australia that I haven't been to. I've often been told that Tassie is lovely, but it's history really puts me off it - you know? I hope that you & your husband had a really lovely, relaxing time there.
Lovely photograph!!!

Thank you so much dear Renee
Very busy at the moment writing the story about our recent holiday to Tasmania but hope to
be back chatting very soon. If you want to look at photos and the story have a peek at

Tassie is so beautiful and green, and small (which you'd be used to, being a country girl).
NT is wonderful and tropical and small. I wouldn't live there if you want to swim in the ocean
but it's gorgeous otherwise. There's a story about our Darwin holiday on that site too.

I just stood there breathing the pure air as deeply as I could, trying to
commit it to deep memory.

To be honest I was going to gift this to you for your Avalon, but I couldn't see a
reference to any waterfalls in Avalon.

It was the first of 3 falls for those who chose to do the stairs/walk to see
them.

My son house/dog sat for us. I could tell from 20 paces which seat at the dining table he had used for the 10 days LOL

Did the do the whole walk for the 3 falls? After Lady Barron falls there was
a steep set of wooden stairs (that looked new) that we had to climb. I
think there were about 250 steps - just what you need after walking 6 kms
on relatively flat terrain. Well, the 200 steps between Russell and Horseshoe
were forgotten by then lol

i did not do the 3 falls walk as i did not know about it just went straight to Russell falls

Russell Falls were the best, followed by Horseshoe Falls which were a short walk up 204 steps. The further 6km hike up hill and down dale, to Lady Barron Falls, ending in 250 steps upwards was a bit of a let down compared to these 2.

It was such joy to us to experience a waterfall in real life, we just don't
live in a place that has such features in nature.
