The work is exquisite, May, just exquisite. As a digital artist, I understand the work that can go into something like this. It's always a delight to see your work. And if the eye seems a bit off center to you, it's easily remedied with careful work in the liquify filter, as you well know.
I would like to see some of the brushes you use in your portraits.

If it's exquisite then why would the eye seem a bit off center? I like May's work a lot too, but I've noticed that her work isn't what it use to be. The best work I've seen from her is the Anne Hathaway as Audrey Hepburn piece.
I can't help, but to pick this piece a part. From the top of the woman's head to her gloves, there is a lot of things that are off about this. The lighting of the skin is cartoon-y. It seems like she could have done the skin in Illustrator and then exported it to PSCS6. The hair is too shiny and wispy. The eyes do look off kilter. The lips also look like they were done in Illustrator. It all looks very cut and past. Nothing flows well in this piece. If that was the look she was going for then it worked, but I prefer her more realistic work like the piece mentioned.

The customer is indeed happy. All my paintings are far from perfect and they never will. I learn from every painting that I paint. I do it with passion, patience and pure enjoyment. If the painting is less than my best, that just means I have opportunity to improve. Cheers!

I'm just wondering if this is the style you're going for? I thought you did just realism, but I see that you are stylizing your work.

It's really pretty, but it looks as though her eyes are a bit off centered from the nose.
