Behavior:

Ambush Predator - The Barroth Ray often will burry just beneath the surface level much like the sand shark. It will lay still for hours if needed to catch prey, unlike the sand shark, the Barroth Ray is an agile swimmer and an efficient killer. While it hides most of it's body, the top of which can still stick out of the surface and mimics the image of a lone stone collection jutting from the sands.

Aggressive Fighter - The Barroth Ray is highly territorial and often a loner predator. It will go toe to toe with other leviathans of equal or greater size, it's stone like exterior working as excellent armor to ward off assaulters.

1) Stonelike Scales - The Barroth Ray's back is covered in scales that are as hard as stone, and as heavy too, the Barroth display's incredible strength being able to swim naturally with this formation on it's surface and it has mastered how to use it as both a defense mechanism and natural camouflage, luring smaller prey to it's area believing that it's a good place to hide in.

2) Razor Sharp Extremities - The Barroth Ray uses a series of claw like extensions growing from it's limbs to dig it's way into the ground, these claws are capable of cutting through most things however they're not efficient for moving under the surface. While the Barroth Ray can use these to quickly dig down he cannot use these to swim under the surface, though it doesn't seem to have any trouble swimming in sand, anything harder is much more challenging to swim through.

3) Nostril Vents - The Barroth Ray has these vents just at the surface of it's heat that work as a nose for it, while it's body can stay underground these vents remain on the surface for the Barroth Ray to breathe through. As well, they also function as it's primary tool to seek out prey. The Barroth Ray has an impressive sense of smell and is capable of distinguishing scents of individual creatures up to a mile away. Without it's sense of smell the Barroth Ray can be easily distracted but also quick to frenzy.

Assessment: Avoid, watch out for moving islands underwater.
