Description Dry pastel, original size is 35 x 50 cm (13.77 x 19.68 inch).

Custom order, made to be a wedding gift. That is why every object holds some symbolic: apples are for married life (sexuality, discovering, fertility) and symbolizing final approval to taste something once forbidden (ok, yes, this is 21 century and I doubt couple restricted themselves from, hm, apples, but it's a nice traditional symbol ). They also represent happiness of married life and immortality of good relationship. For luck, there is seven of them.
Wine is there for a similar reasons, but also to make marriage life merry and full of life (like wine)...two glasses represent the couple.
Walnuts are for relationship to be firm and stable, as their crust and for finding hidden treasures marriage can give. Wheat is for fertility too and good luck and fortune (that for red ropes bounds it).
Bundle of twigs that serves as a support under top apples is there to say "we're stronger together", "we're unbreakable".
Finally, the bread signifies sharing the life and food in future, sharing both hard crust and soft middle, good and evil.

Huh, a lot of symbolics...a lot of fertility symbols too, but after all, it is a wedding gift

On technical side, for some reason, glasses after photographing look more flat than in nature and I just can't fix it (without serious redrawing in PS, which is not going to happen...)...also, my camera seems to catch some paper irregularities that are not visible in real life...thus, texture looks more grainy than in reality.

Hopefully, you can still get the general impression. I'm not making still life often (all though, two more awaits for my return home now), so this is pretty satisfying. Hope you like it too

I like it, the colours and the symbolism entwine perfectly.
