Indeed, here is a new miniature pirate's chest. For a long while I wanted to make another one and finally found some time

This miniature chest is made out of real wood (pear), painted with acrylics and its metallic parts are covered in 18k goldleaf, antiqued with antique wax paste. The little rings and part of the hinges are made out of bronze. Chest measures 2.5 x 2.5 x 2 cm or 0.98 x 0.98 x 0. 98 in inches (height, length, width)

There are 25 handmade, gilded doubloons in the chest, a journal and treasure map.

The journal contains 14 pages, tea dyed, hand illustrated in ink, with faux writing and random illustrations connected with pirates. Pay attention especially to the last, half-torn page...it has scribbled, mostly unreadable names of pirate's enemies, to some of which he added a black spot!!! The book is aged and damaged on purpose, as it probably went through pillages and plundering together with its master.

The map is made out of faux leather (made by me) and inked and painted by hand as well. I am not aware of existence of the island it is showing, but maybe you will be luckier in guessing?
