My last minute entry into UDON Entertainment's Darkstalkers Tribute - a pair of Huiztil units as Rock Em Sock Em Robots.

I wanted to do a piece that captured the essence of Capcom staff drawings - the silly little gag bits we often see in their artbooks. After seeing an old ad for Rock Em Sock Em Robots, I decided to draw a pair of Huitzils duking it out in the ring.

With the winners announced, and myself not among them, I can now post this piece here. I really didn't expect to place, considering the lack of background (and the fact that most contestants probably colored their entries digitally). It probably would have been funnier if I had included, say, Demitri and Jedah at the controls of these two Huitzils.

Nevertheless, I can say that I didn't let this opportunity pass me by like I have so many others.
