Finally finished the colored version of my 9-11 tribute drawing.I'm very happy with how it came out, especially how Alfred looks.

thank you~ I had "Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning" by Allan Jackson on a loop from start to finish while working on this piece, and i can't listen to it without crying so it helped me put that emotion into the piece

thank you, i haven't drawn Alfred in almost a year...sadly it was 9-11 when I did end up drawing him again

I was about only 2 or 1 when it happened. I was reading these old newspapers I found about it they just made me depressed :/

I remember watching the news footage the morning after it happened. I will never forget seeing that thick black smoke coming from the buildings

I just imagined all those people. When I was younger I heard the story and saw videos it really scared me cause you never know when it can happen.

It shocked everyone in America because nothing like this had ever happened since Pearl Harbor.
Nowadays I can't watch any movie/documentary made about 9-11 because I remember photos and video of people from the higher floors jumping off the buildings because they knew they couldn't be rescued.

And then when they play all those screams of those people who were stuck in those building's it just makes you shiver.

it makes me want to cry. every year I listen to a song by Allan Jackson called "Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning?"
I can never sing it without crying, and that is the only song I listened to while working on this piece.

thank you~! Drawing on the computer feels so much more natural now that I bought my pen tablet. it helps to make my pieces look more natural vs using a line tool to trace the drawings that i scanned into my computer.

i watched some of the news footage while working on this and even now I still cry and just sit there in complete shock.
The smoke that came from the towers was pitch black with almost no grey in it, and I used a skyline of NYC where the towers would stand for the background
