Hmm... its from my traveling experience to Boston. They have lovely market streets there... A very beautiful city. ^^The girl is Elisa, and the boy is Randy, both of them are my original characters.
Time: Oct 26-Nov 3 (hours: no...clue)
Medium: Prang, Prisma color pencils, Corel painter 8, photoshop.
I will blah about it in my "In progress pic" for this one.... just enjoy the image now.

The girl reminds me of a girl in finalfantasy 8. Awesome coloring. I really love anime , but I don't think it would be a good idea for me to learn it because I want to be a concept designer/matte painter, and those jobs usely require realistic looking stuff. Still, I love your art! + fav

It's so adorable, I love the rich and vivid colors. And his pose is so great. lol. What really catches my eye is her shirt, though, it's really cute and I've never seen similar before. Well, of course you get the points from awesome texturing too.. but you do it always that way

The vibrance of the colours struck me first. Not only do they brilliantly represent teh brightness of a sunny day - but also evolk feelings of the energy and buzz of a busy street.
The girl is the centre of attention, I think. Obviously because she's in the middle - it looks like its -her- day, she is in the center, facing the viewer, smiling and leaping slightly as she turns.
The boyfriend looks alot less impressed. You've captured the kind of feeling a guy sometimes gets when his girlfriend goes on a shopping spree. Looking at the sky as if he wants to just fly away out of this shopping mayhem.
Perhaps her energy is a little too much for him as well?
The surroundings appear busy and prominent, without taking the attention away from the subject characters.
Brilliant peice of work.

The colours are really bright and radiant, though I would perhaps make the background a little duller in contrast to bring the foreground out a bit more. ^^

I love the coloring. The only real complaint that i can seem to find is that the highlights on at least her hair, seem very 2-d. It's just straight across, and i'm sure u know that each clump of strands should have their own level, placement, and intensity of highlights and shadows. Eh... not much use having some bad person like me tell u, but that's just what i see. Good work though, love the reflective lighting of her shirt onto his.

Hmm, I may be wrong but I do see higlight just a faint glow. I think that is because the source of light is behind Elisa and that is why there is more of a lack of highlight, if it is going for the more realistic aproach, this is the way to go but if you are going for the more..."anime" (i HATE to say that), there would be more higlights. ARGH i hate saying that but it really depends on the style, eXCUSE me T_T.

Na, even if they called it something else, ppl can still dispite it for its look, and being cartoony.... its got nothing to do with the name. ^^bbb Anime is a word for animation in french, which in its own nature totally neutral.

When I first so this pic, I smiled, deeply smiled. I have NO clue what made me smile but I just love this pic
Randy and Elisa are DEFITNETELY the strong center in this piece, I'm guessing that is what made me smile
I saw the progress part to this piece and boy there were a lot of steps. I like the separate sketch; how it gradually enters into the next and grows with color. It's amazing 
Randy doesn't look annoyed by her " tugging"
First, I noticed that your lighting is really well done! You did the highlights around the break in the trees so well! It really looks like the light is entering almost like a photo! You got that right xD.
The people in the background really add a lot to this piece. I like how you added only a few and not a LOT, that'd be too noisy as I said before ^^b. Phew~! Your shadows and higlights and greens in the trees are gorgeous! I love the paint effect. The fact that the paint effect blurrs the trees even further gives it that "photo effect" again. That, I like!
The amount of detail also is just perfect! I love the stained glass that you usually see in those kind of diner's and I noticed that you have a red brick road rather than the usual white/tan pavement road. That deviates from the typical market.
Now I will get to Randy and Elisa now ^^. One thing I have noticed so far in all your art is that it isn't the usual " anime pose" it is more realistic and natural. It is like no other anime I've seen, but this kind of piece, the pose, expression, and the background is the reason I like anime, these kinds of pieces brighten my day ^^.

Elisa's pose I love xD. It's priceless. The amount of detail on both Elisa and Randy is really amazing! But her pose kind of takes you away from Randy, the attention
All together, the art is not the only thing that gave me the smile but it was the expression and feeling that was heart-warming ^^. I love this piece one of my favorites, I hope I didn't go overboard on what this really meant. Wonderful Job +fav ^^.

nice rendering, I like the pencil stokes you left on her skirt and her bag that let you know its been rendered with colour pencils. interesting combo with the bg which i'm guessing is painter coz there is no texture like the colour pencils but nice layering and smuding f colours in the tree leaves.

The detail in this image is absolutely beautiful! Your artwork really reflects the fun time you spent on your trip. I love the look on Elisa's face so full of warmth and happiness! I love the subtle shifting shades of her hair and your mixing of colors for her outfit. I almost feel sorry for Randy since he seems to be pulled along for the ride
