It's still a good deal, I've seen more expensive... over $5 each. My sister once went to "the" place for vanilla, Papantla, I don't even know how many she brought back (too many), but we could never use them all. And they were so soft and fresh...! freshest I've ever used. And they only were like $20 for all of them.

Try making Crème brûlée, it's heavenly when you use vanilla beans.

Great idea. I think I really should. I wonder how hard it is to make. I'll try soon (but I think I would do a maple crème brûlée. I'm obsessed with maple and vanilla)

Aww.. well it seems like it would be easier for you to learn than say someone that speaks russian. Because both french and spanish are latin based. It must not be that awful, lol.

It looks like a pastel blue or a bluish green pastel color. I think it came out lovely!
