Happy Lunar New Year to you all! Chúc mừng năm mới! And here is my annual new year's drawing. Last year, I drew Marinette Dupain-Cheng from Miraculous, and this year.... I drew her again. What, you think I'd be over this fandom already?Marinette is wearing a traditional Vietnamese áo dài, inspired by those worn by some of the women at my church last night. Yes, last night. In her hands is a leaf hat, or nón lá, and her hair is adorned with yellow apricot flowers, or hoa mai, the symbol of the new year in Vietnam.
This year is the year of the Rooster, and I hope that the new year is prosperous and joyous for you all. See you all later!

yes, i'm celebrating it at my church today. every year, there is a party at the end of mass (I'm Catholic) with múa lân and ông địa and it's kinda like a little fundraiser for our youth group 'cause all the money collected goes to us. I was in the múa lân last year and my goodness, I was so sore. I felt really bad for the guy carrying me on his shoulders for most of my time, even though I'm small and light, it's still gotta suck when he's doing it for more than half an hour at a time.
