This is page1 of Katie the Crimefighter. One the most challenging pages I've done, honestly. Deceptively simple looking. But creating visual order out of the chaos of all those knick-knacks took some effort.

You should see the grid Nick had laid out for this, to get all the perspectives right. That was pretty amazing in its own right.

This doesn't really have much to do with the job you did and I don't know the story but I think the room could use a bit more pink and purple, girlie-fy it a bit more. I see she has tiaras and stuff. It's just all blue and green now, I know my little girl wouldn't go for that! I see you are trying to set her off from the room though so yeah, I dunno, just something I noticed. I know holding everything together on a page like this is tough, you did a great job.

Yeah I know. That was a major concern. I started with the bed. which clearly had a fish print on it. And the rug with the turtle. And I built the palette from there. Trying to add "girlish" elements of pink's etc, just drew your eye away from her however. The lightblue rug started pink, the desk on the bottom, for example. Visually, it was just too distracting from her. There were a number of tomboy elements like the sports gear, etc.
