My guess for the color scheme of the shiny starters of Isshu and shiny starters of Johto.SRs = Soft Resets
One of the way to get easily some shiny PokΓ©mon!
Got a Shiny Chimchar after 4 HRs! (But I hate Platinum, so I don't play with him often)
Crop two drawings and pasted them together.

you are luckier than I am... I have the WORST shiny luck. once I found a shiny Nosepass when I was nine, but I didn't know what shiny pokemon were, so I ran away from it. the second time I got a shiny it was a shiny whismur, but it was on an emulator, and somehow, the emulator deleted itself. :T i'm trying to get a shiny in HGSS, but nothing's been happening... for the past couple of months... DX

Aww, I'm so sorry to hear that... May I convince you to try the Pokeradar? Or shiny breeding in GSC? At least you'd have some shinies! But still, congrats on the cool shinies! Even when we don't ctach them, they were still 1/8192 chance to happen so that's cool! I missed the chance to catch a shiny Venonat because I was in the Safari Zone, ugh.

But actually, since I posted that comment, I've already caught a shiny Graveler in Crystal! :>
Safari Zone shinies must be terrible... And I've been breeding a Ditto and a Nosepass to see if I can get that shiny Nosepass to make up for it. I'm also SRing to get a shiny Kyurem on White 2, but that may take a bit of time.

you don't need to guess the shiny color scheme for the johto starters. they are official, since the old gold and silver version came out

Oh sorry, I certainly did a mistake in spealling (Sorry for the confusion!) I've just guess the shiny form for the fifth generation starters, I know that the PokΓ©mons from G/S/C could be shiny

I got a shiny Treecko after about... 2 resets. And a shiny Squirtle after 3.
Both times it took me completely by surprise. XD

Haha! I got Treecko on Emerald and Squirtle on either Leafgreen or FireRed. I fully evolved them both but I kinda wish that I hadn't evolved Grovyle into Sceptile, she had these awesome red leaves and a jade green body, as a Sceptile she's almost completely jade green with red eyes. Still cool but I preferred her as a Grovyle. XD
Blastoise looks a bit... fruity, he's lilac and green. XD

No, you have to look in it's summary or during the first battle (In Emerald per example). Only in HG/SS you can see if your starter is shiny by choosing him in the pokΓ©ball.
