Description
"You will know true fear from me, little cat. I shall feast on your still beating heart."The main antagonist of Stormbreak's story. Angered by the prejudices of the other species (the Canids and Felids) towards his clan, Genvar sets out to amass an army with which to impose power upon the world with the Ursids as supreme rulers of all the finest territories. He encounters Stormbreak and her parents when Storm is just a cub. He tries to enlist Stormbreak's parents. They refuse and are murdered on the spot, leaving Stormbreak an orphan to wander alone until she is rescued by a kind heart.

Is it bad that I kind of feel for him? Like I totally agree that bears are so underrated these days. Everyone with their mainstream felines and canids, let's hear it for the Ursids! Chip is falling to the dark side...

Nah it's not bad at all. There are many prejudices between the races of Storm's world but time and exposure has soothed most. Genvar wanted not just an end, but a new order. Had he put his fervor and obsession into using compassion in the place of violence, things might have changed for the better. Instead he was bent on making things better for just him. Yeah, bears are super cool and Stormy meets more than a few. In her world, bears are generally very spiritual and peaceful animals and are the only race to create crafts and art. Stormbreak really admires them and their views.
No Chip, AVOID THE DARK SIDE!!! Stay like in the margin between light and dark to reap the benefits of both sides, eeeeeeeyyy.

Oooh thank you so much! I really enjoyed drawing him. I've never really drawn a fierce bear before so it was good practice. You can't tell from just this pic, but this guy is HUGE too, slightly larger than a polar bear!

Super rude, he's an ass. He thinks he is doing such a noble thing too, while the rest of his species are like "Dude, wtf, stop that." He has massively huge and sharp claws. And a bunch of bare patches from injuries as a cub.

At least he isn't a standard 'pure total evil' character that many first villains tend to be- he doesn't see himself as a villain, because few people really do. X3
