The result of my latest poll that asked what animal Stormbreak should be for the holidays. I tried drawing a penguin but gosh they are hard to draw. Sooooooo, I will try again later. I picked the next highest vote which was also my favorite animal in the list; a caribou! Aw thanks, Vex! They certainly are gorgeous. And so unique looking too! OMG I KNOW!!!!! IT MAKES ME SO MAD TO SEE WHITE TAILED DEER CALLED REINDEER. ALSO male caribou don't have antlers this time of year so Santa's reindeer that are portrayed at Christmas time would have to be female or castrated. Sooo dumb, just give them all antlers and be done with it XD Ugh, glad you see the glaring errors in reindeer portrayal too. They are also waaay cuter than white tails too? Like why not depict them accurately and sell more cutesy stuff? IDK man

Yeah, and half the reindeer have female names as well. Like, what male is named Vixen? And I didn't know this up until I looked it up, but apparently reindeer calves don't even have spots. Yet in the animated movie I grew up with they gave them these white-tailed deer style white spots. Whhhhhyyy? Reindeer calves are adorable. Even as a kid watching the 1990s version of Rudolph and the old Claymation version I thought it was sexist that only the males got to pull the sled. I'm with you, why don't they make them accurate? Reindeer are adorable. You'd be able to sell plushies left and right. Maybe the original Rudolph is to blame for this reindeer=white-tailed deer trend. I don't know. I have got to set up some time this Christmas to draw screenshots or concepts for an anatomically accurate Rudolph adaptation. I would watch the heck out of that. Sorry, I think I rambled on a bit. I drive my mom crazy when we're shopping for decorations

I know, it's such BS. I would always get mad about the names and lack of female reindeer. Also their noses don't look like those in cartoons?!!! Seriously, was any research done? I would buy so many caribou plushies at Christmas if that was a common thing. WHAT ABOUT A REMAKE OF THE CLAYMATION MOVIES WITH ACCURATE CARIBOU AAAAAAAAAAAGHHHH!!!! You should make one XD

After mentioning that last night I started down a slippery slope of planning for this story in my head, down to structuring the story and the personalities/appearance of the reindeer as I was about to go to bed. I would love to see it as a Don Bluth style movie, but nowadays it's like you can't slip in anything dark into kid's movies.

I've actually gone through and named/assigned personalities to all the reindeer for this imaginary movie in my head. I'm still thinking up designs. Vixen obviously has to be female and red like a fox, while I think Rudolph would lean towards more grayish tones, since the name Rudolph means famed wolf. The story would be PG (more along the lines of Land Before Time or Secret of Nihm). I would pay big money to actually see a movie like that get made, as so many Christmas cartoons are heavily watered down.
