Link from The Wind Waker some time later, as a boy.Getting proportions right is crucial for a good rendition of adult characters in this style.

Your link doesn't work, but I know the concept art you're speaking of from the Zelda Box. In fact I love it and I'd have loved to control an adult Link in tWW style like him in a Zelda game.
Drawing this fanart I was inspired by that concept art and by the statue of the Hero of Time in tWW's Hyrule Castle.

He was 12 in the Wind Waker, which would make him 12 when OoT started, and 19 after he pulled out the Master Sword

Well, whatever... there's no canonical age for any Link as far as I know, it's just obvious by looking at him that the Hero of Time is not younger than 16 or 17. Ditto for the Hero of Winds since their starting ages are the same.

Canonically, Link in the Wind Waker has the same age as the one in Ocarina of Time, so a boy version has to be the same age as the one in OoT.
