Me as Wander from Shadow of the Colossus, shot taken at Lucca Comics and Games 2008 by ~laughingpineapple who also helped me realize the costume.This is my favourite costume along with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Skull Kid, they’re by far my favourite characters among those I’ve cosplayed.
Wander is so cool in his foolish resolution, his strong yet fragile appearance.
In fact Ueda’s characters tend to be close to ideal to me... especially those from Shadow of the Colossus (and especially the males, unfortunately: big potential flaw). They are archetypical but pretty far from the usual types we get from the entertainment market. An unsuspected richness of undertones is perceivable from such an essential characterization. And I find their visual design to be a model of originality and sobriety that is practically unmatched.
