Description Cover for Daria: Is It Fall Yet?

I felt kind of weird about this piece because my supervisor had done the artwork for the movie poster and I didn't want to invalidate his work, after all he is much better at drawing the Daria characters than I am. However, the consumer products people didn't want to use the poster art so they asked me to come up with something.

I wanted to show that there is a clear difference between this movie and the regular show. Although in reality the movie was produced like three normal episodes strung together and the plot continued an ongoing story line. So I guess that means I kind of failed. Anyway I put in the multiple Daria uniforms as a slight visual joke. As an extra inside joke I put the episode numbers of the movie's three acts and the scene numbers I worked on in which Daria wore those outfits (she never wore much else).

As a nod to the previous work of my supervisor I made the scrim in the back look like the background of the poster he did so that it would seem like the poster art was done as a promotional production photo-shoot by the cartoon "actors."
