How do you use the background after downloading it? No matter what I do it says "Warning! Background could not be found!" then freezes my pc

I work with two programs. First, create a 3D image in XPS, which includes characters and environments. I find a good view angle and images save in two or more transparent layers such as PNG. One or more layers for the characters and objects and a backing layer which is mostly environment. Of course, I can add another layer, for example, images of the sky and clouds. Then I give Β everything together again in Photoshop CS5.
