This is a genuinely beautiful picture, with excellent lighting and pleasant warm colours. The scene also features an almost rustic simple bathtub and the placement of the candles is absolutely spot on. I'm certain there are better configurations out there, but this one hits the spot all the same. There is of course an erotic/sensual component to this photo, but it really isn't done in poor taste and doesn't seem forced either. In fact her hair and skin tone compliment the surroundings as well as the surroundings compliment her. The gloss on her skin reflecting the candlelight is a stellar touch to the entire composition. A job well done good sir.
However, and I say this without taking back anything of the above, the current oversaturation of nudity on dA has both desensitized me to it and even brings a certain disgust, as many girls and women post copious amounts of poor quality nude photos for cheap and quick views, promoting whatever pay/donation site they have on the side. It's hard to blame them, because of how efficient this method is in generating revenue, but the quantity over quality approach does tends to show. At first, I looked even at this photo with disgust, before taking some time to appreciate its actual merits... and I fear that with all the noise circulating about, the music may be lost, if you catch my drift.
Artistic nude always existed and it always will, but it does seem like it has fallen on a certain dark age, just like any other form of art in the past or even present. I can't be the only one with such a concern.Β
