I need someone to teach me how to do digital art because I have no idea! this is an interesting piece. Purely from a colours point of veiw, I feel that the blue against the red is very striking. nicely done

Nice photomanipulation. The detail is interesting, and I like the overall simplicity of the piece... as well as the lighting scheme. There are a few minor changes I think you could make so as to improve upon it, however....

First, unless you intended for the bottom half of the butterfly's right wing to be tucked underneath the photo it's resting on, I would make sure that that wing doesn't merge into (or go under) the photo, but rather have it be positioned above it like the left wing is. Secondly, adding a more conspicuous shadow underneath the butterfly would, I think, bring it out more and add more depth to the piece. Lastly, the blood, while nicely done, seems more pasted on and around the butterfly than bleeding out of it. Merging it with the butterfly more smoothly would make it look more convincing.

Keep it mind that I am only an amateur artist and am still learning myself; plus, every artist has their own way of doing things, so my suggestions may be a bit biased. Still, I do my best when giving advice for the benefit of the artist.

Other than that, good work! Keep it up!

It almost looks like the butterfly was shot, don't you think? I personally like the way the blood was handled- not seeping from the butterfly rather more like a shock or jolt caused it to splatter. I agree about the darker shadow though.

Mmhm. Either that or pricked. If it was shot there would be nothing left. Ha-ha. In regards to that, though, my comment on how the blood was handled was more of a personal opinion. I do think it could be a bit more realistic, but the artist did do a very nice job on in nonetheless.

This looks cool The contrast in colour is interesting as the red sort of stands out. It makes for a dramatic picture, I think.

This looks really beautiful. The juxtaposition between the peacefulness of the sky in the photograph, where the butterflies wing is perfect against the other side of the butterfly and the blood that surrounds it, makes me think about the fragility of freedom and of life.

Well done!

Hi there.. Nice butterfly. But I was quite shocked when first saw this image. Quite a good manipulation job Is this butterfly freed to sky (the sky pic) but died (blood)? For me, I will prefer to use an actual glass window that i can see the clouds as the whole background. Of course, I guess it will mean more work to be done too
