Description
This was a request made by someone on my blog. I thought one more painting of this nature wouldn't hurt. This time it's of the red game resetter - Obliterate. for 6RR it buries all creatures artifacts and lands. Essentially a buffed version of Jokulhaups, which was an old red board sweeper in Ice Age that did the same thing for 4RR.Wrath of God - [link]

I don't knokw what brushes or whatever you're using, but this has a real watercolour feel about it. That I think really adds to the epic scale of the whole thing, the softer lines give the feeling that that explosion is not only big... but way off in the distance as well... so even larger than you originally thought.

I just used default brush textures in paint tool SAI. Not too hot for painting in Photoshop. It has more options readily available, but I'm not used to blending in that program. (low hardness 40% flow, 40% opacity) just add in your shadow/highlight, use the eyedropper to gradually work in a smooth gradient. Overall it's just more work than if you just used SAI.

You already made Wrath of God, Damnation and now Obliteration... Is the next one will be Mind's Desires with Satori (Blue) ? Or Hurricane with Sanae (Green) ?

It he's making a series of five global destruction cards, Upheaval would probably be better for blue. As for the character, it has Yukari written all over it, but she's already taken, so I don't know. Any ideas?
