Check it out, I have a new book out called Should This Octopus Have Fewer Legs? published by Adams Media. It’s a collection of absurd, fake "take one" street flyers, designed to be ripped out and posted up anywhere you want in your neighborhood - the local store, street corner, bus stop, a telephone pole, your room or office, etc.

You've probably seen flyers like these on the web here and there, maybe you've stumbled onto one or two out on the street. I have a couple times, they're like these little gems that always made me laugh, made my day. This is the first book to ever feature this elusive street phenomenon. In it, you’ll find all sorts of madness - homages to your favorite movies (Ghostbusters, Silence of the Lambs, Star Wars, Lord of the RIngs), off-the-wall pop culture references (heartless zombies, Kevin Bacon bacon), pun-tastic plays on words (Need a Hand?) and straight-up redonkulous notices (Free Dental Work, Get A Life!) plus a couple takes on the classics.

Here’s a link to the section on my website displaying the whole book.

Catch it on Tumblr

It’s available on Amazon and in Barnes & Noble, as well as many other fine bookstores.

Cheers!

I read somewhere that Yoda's speech pattern was inspired by medieval English poetry. Just look at the first eighteen lines of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and you'll see what I mean (translation into Modern English included):

Whan that Aprill with his shoures soote
               When April with its sweet-smelling showers
The droghte of March hath perced to the roote,
               Has pierced the drought of March to the root,
And bathed every veyne in swich licour
               And bathed every vein (of the plants) in such liquid
Of which vertu engendred is the flour;
               By the power of which the flower is created;
Whan Zephirus eek with his sweete breeth
               When the West Wind also with its sweet breath,
Inspired hath in every holt and heeth
               In every holt and heath, has breathed life into
The tendre croppes, and the yonge sonne
               The tender crops, and the young sun
Hath in the Ram his half cours yronne,
               Has run its half course in Aries,
And smale foweles maken melodye,
               And small fowls make melody,
That slepen al the nyght with open ye
               Those that sleep all the night with open eyes
(So priketh hem Nature in hir corages),
               (So Nature incites them in their hearts),
Thanne longen folk to goon on pilgrimages,
               Then folk long to go on pilgrimages,
And palmeres for to seken straunge strondes,
               And professional pilgrims (long) to seek foreign shores,
To ferne halwes, kowthe in sondry londes;
               To (go to) distant shrines, known in various lands;
And specially from every shires ende
               And specially from every shire's end
Of Engelond to Caunterbury they wende,
               Of England to Canterbury they travel,
The hooly blisful martir for to seke,
               To seek the holy blessed martyr,
That hem hath holpen whan that they were seeke.
               Who helped them when they were sick.

Actually, the words at the top would be "Sign Up Today You Will!" read backwards that one would be "You Will Today Sign Up!" I think...
I dunno, Yoda confuses me.
Sorry, didn't mean to be a troll.
