What I really like about this piece, as that even though the text is depressing, and you've captured a wonderfully sad atmosphere with the photo, and the grainy texture, the subject still seems to stand tall.
I have a thing for juxtaposition.

I actually kind of like the words the size they are. 
The picture itself is beautiful. I love the lone figure staring out into the great big sea. And the distant shore across the water gives up ghostly, bumpy forms that add to the atmosphere. The texture fits wonderfully. I really like it. ^_^
