Much as beauty, art is in the eye of the beholder... Subject to interpretation and our own biases based on the nature of each of our journeys. That is what I love about art. Every piece speaks to me in its own way. I also understand the counter-point. It's always interesting to gain an understanding of the artist's intent behind the work, but I don't know that the artist should offer that initially with the presentation. The interpretation of the artist is really the gem that should be offered after the observer has had the chance to interpret the piece and place their own '1,000 words' about the piece. That said, I love this piece. The model reminds me of a girl I once knew in Honduras, but aside from that, the texture and the work mother nature has put into the ageing of the stage is captured and framed very well. Excellent piece. Thank you for sharing it!

Apologies for the obvious typos... It's late, and I was typing without proofing. Cheers!

Muy buena foto,me gusta mucho la forma que usas para retorcer el cuerpo y contorsionarlo, muy expresivo.

One of my art professors said that "an artist should NEVER explain their work. If you have to do that then the piece has failed." And I have found over the years, with the type of imagery we do, that if I tell a person what it 'meant' then they feel stupid for seeing, and getting something else. So, I have never made any attempt to explain any of my works.
Where did you find this increadable window? Really love all the textures, and colors. Not to mention what all that does against her perfect skin.
This is such a great piece of work!!!!

Love the pose, the colour and the written background. The red/browns of the window really go well with the tone of the skin. I feel your predicament, often I am afraid of explaining in words for fear of giving the wrong idea with an inferior vocabulary

Beautiful pic!! I agree with you, but I am afraid your friend is right. But nevertheless it is interesting to see how different people see different things in a pic. Photography is not the most exact way to communicate, but it is a nice one!!
