Description
This was something I drew from reading The Fellowship of theRing, and I just thought it was so funny... so I had to draw it.
It was when all the guys of The Fellowship were in the snowy
mountains, and it was up to their chests.
"Legolas watches them for a while with a smile upon his lips,
and then turned to the others. 'The strongest must seek a
way, say you? But I say: let a ploughman plough, but choose
an otter for swimming, and for running light over grass and
leaf, or over snow - an Elf."
Boromir seemed like he was swimming through the snow.
BAHAHA! And just thinking of Legolas laughing about that
is hilarious to me. (And it wasn't in the movie, so I had
to make it real some how.) xD
PS - I put real chain mail from a photo on Boromir. WOO!

I live in a mountain town with a ski resort. I snowboard. I venture off the groomed trails, into the deep snow in the trees. I get stuck. I have to hike out. On a fairly regular basis, 'cause I never learn my lesson.
Riding through waist deep snow is awesome. Walking through it, exhausting....

Ohmygod yes! This part of FotR always makes me giggle. This & when Legolas comes back & tells the rest of the Fellowship something about how Aragorn & Boromir were kind of getting tired & all until he told them what was left for them to plough through was no thicker than a wall, if i remember aright.
Legolas looks so smirky.

Well in the book he was in the snow,
but there was a point at which he flew ahead
to go and check out the further of the mountains.
But I assume he could have been atop the whole time
if he wanted to.
