Anyone remember earlier this year when all the nay-sayers were saying that the Wii U would bankrupt Nintendo? Well, I never bought it for a second, but I did wonder about how Nintendo would handle a transition from making their own consoles to relying on "the other guys" to distribute their product. Then I got the idea for the series of comic strips that you see here. Enjoy!

As soon as I started this first strip, I realized it had been ages since I'd drawn Mario. I redrew him in each of these panels several times before I decided to let it be and let my drawing style develop naturally over the course of these comic strips. That's why, if you look closely, it almost looks like Mario was drawn by a different person each panel By my second or third strip, though, I think I finally got a consistent look for him.
