Hahah ... That's why it sounds so familiar ... I was going to make a title along this 'quite' line ... but it doesn't hit well with the others, only this one came up to my mind.

Basically, Panorama is different than HDR technique. HDR is where you have 1 exact image, with 2-3 files for different exposure value (usually EV0, EV-1, EV+1), i.e. one is normal exposure, then under exposure, and overexposure. This is to get the detail from every aspect of the image.
HDR is abit of a double-edged knife I believe ... if the post-process is over-done ... its abit of a over-kill, at least for my taste. If take extra careful, then, you'll get a great result.
I'm not a fan of HDR ... but a real fan of panorama technique...
