It's not a brain injury.
My mind might function differently from normal people, but it's not an injury.Ā I have a chronic leg injury from a soccer collision when I was younger (it didn't heal properly, so some activities can cause pain).Ā That, I wish I didn't have to deal with (though I don't regret making the challenge which got me the injury, to be honest; I was just too eager to get back onto the field).
ASD, though it can have its down sides, is something I can't imagine life without, and I'd never wish it away.

Yeah, but I was saying how similar the two are. I have had a TBI. That means traumatic brain injury. I'm just like you, except my right side doesn't work, and I have a speech impediment.Ā

I've lived in the US and currently now living in Europe and can compare both systems. Private health insurances VS Universal healthcare. Main differences are in one system it's who has the best insurance gets the best care versus the other where everyone rich or poor gets the best. Saying that, ASD is better taken care off and understood in the US than Europe, excluded England, Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland all the other countries here are many years behind, France being the worst still pretending it's a choice or blaming it on the mother, still refusing DSM and preferring psychoanalyzes Freudian style. I honestly do see where you are coning from, and do agree that the health care system's a mess. However, there is a good reason for what Obamacare is doing. It's getting rid of fake heathcare companies. Which in the long run will make things better.
