BTW, what thickness is that leather?
Also, is the forehead strap adjustable by the user or is that done in manufacture dependant on the size (S,M,L?) requested when purchasing?

Thickness depend on the leather. The rigid and hard one is usually 2.5mm, softer ones could be even 3.5mm (as the brown one is).
As I do this manually each item could be done in a different way.
This black one you see above was L size while the red one is unisex one size fits all. Usually I suggest to do less holes and as short strap as posible to prevent dangling.
