A little something for all my friends who are Crash fans. I haven't drawn characters from the Crash Bandicoot series in quite a long time, and I figured it'd be fun to do so as something between projects. You'll notice that some parts of the drawing are cut off. I'm afraid my scanner isn't big enough to accommodate 9x12 so I had to make do.

I think my favorite parts of this are the dynamic poses I was able to draw the characters in on this size paper, with Tawna's and Crunch's being what I'm most proud of, and of course, Crunch's look. I've always really liked Crunch's classic design from Wrath of Cortex, and I've never been a fan of the fact that with each game afterward, they would keep softening him and dumbing him down. He always seemed like the tough, no-nonsense type to me so that's how I drew him. I was also a pretty big fan of Tani-Tiger/Tara Cross's work back in the day so that's another reason why. This is for you, Tara, wherever you are.

I was also able to incorporate my own spin on their designs. I wanted to mix both classic and modern, hence the design of Crash's pants and Tawna's more buxom appearance. Also, the addition of Coco's cell phone. Overall, I like how this turned out. I will be doing a Team Cortex drawing soon as a follow up to this. In fact, I just finished inking it today and will be starting on a coloring it this week.
