About this costume:
I did this costume and shoot before I really knew what cosplay was. At the time, I knew I just liked to take themed photos! The whole process of this project took forever, as my entire body is painted silver, head to toe! It is one way to get to know your photographer…and his wife…very well! After two hours of painting, we used some black cloth and fur to make my clothes. The axe was borrowed from a friend of the photographers.

The studio part of the shoot was easy. We got some dramatic lighting set up, plopped down some fake snow, and went at it! The hard part came later when we went out into the real snow to shoot. That was a little on the cold side. At one point, I tried balancing on a rock in the river to get a cool shot, and fell in on one leg. That made it even colder! Overall, the shoot was great, and I love how the photos turned out!
