just practising colors and bg, so may be not too detailed and precise, sorry XD'I really wanted to draw scene fith flamingos for 2 or 3 weeks. D:

oh, my~! I've goty many manyyy ideas for pics O: I love to go through photos on National Geographic site yeah it's one of my obsessions now *O* they're so inspiring~!
I want to send Reid family around the world D:
Anyway...
There're Bob and Emily in the land where flamingos lives. Propably it's Africa-like area (because there's no Africa, or even other official continents in my comic)
Emily is trying to capture these birds. She's an artist, and she loves taking photos.

You know, there's nothing in your gallery I could provide any constructive critique on (I'm nowhere near as good as you are, that's why...), but there might just be something I could advise about this one XD
Being a photographer (nothing really on DA, my photos go here instead: [link] ) I feel I should point out one minor detail - the depth of field (czyli "głębia ostrości" po naszemu, ale niech ten tekst pozostanie zrozumiały dla wszystkich 
It doesn't matter if you're presenting this scene as seen by human eyes, or as seen by a camera lens. An eye is a lens too and works on the same principles of focus. Focus can be set near, far, anywhere in the distance range. But only at one distance, and everything nearer will be more and more blurred out,and anything farther will be more and more blurred out, too.
As much as I love the flock of flamingos, something just doesn't "fit" there. Bob and Emily are obviously the point of focus - they're nice and sharp, and obviously this is where most of our attention goes. The tree is simplistic so let's ignore whether or not it's in focus. Let's move on to the birds.
The first rows of flamingos, as well as some of those in flight, are sharp too. Then as we peek deeper into the flock, they become blurred out. That's very correct. But the mountains in the background, although a bit blurred, seem sharper than the farthest flamingos, which makes the sense of depth and distance a little bit shaky.
unless it's just my monitor being crappy and I'm totally wrong XD
I'm sorry I even dared to make such observations - but I really wanted to provide some constructive critique over a lovely piece like this at last

gora faktycznie powinna byc bardziej blurred, albo mniej szczegolowa D: chociaz i tak wzorowalam sie na fotce (o tej [link] ) wiec imo flamingi tez powinny byc mniej blurred przy tym, ale ze jestem leń to je zblurowalam XD (znaczy rozowe plamy zblurowalam xDDDD)
no i wyszlo jak wyszlo

I love the colors, it fits the mood really well. Like, you can really imagine sitting on that rock looking at the flamingos under a gray cloudy sky, and you're feeling sweaty and tired from the hike but now you want to enjoy the moment and take some pictures.
