It was is fault, and that's where "I'm sorry I can't be perfect" part comes in.
We don't know his real reasons for smoking. Who knows, it might really be that he was curious. Or maybe he was stressed. We can't really judge him, right?
The chorus of this song speaks for itself.
Maybe he's "gone" for now, but I'm confident he'll resurface one day. ♥

Although I did hear in an interview that he did do it because he was curious. Then again, I guess everything starts out with that.
I'll listen to the song later. Simple Plan's a wonderful band too after all.

Maybe he was curious... or maybe he was using that as a cover up.
We'll never know.
I encourage you to. It's a really sad song about how a person can't be accepted by their dad. The chorus can be applied to a variety of situations such as Ryuu's though.
