Wow... didn't know DA actually had a critique feature, must be new.

Here's by 2 cents worth...

I like the overall shot of Jacqui but because she's wearing white, she gets lost against the busy background.

I could be wrong but I don't think you used any artificial lighting since you shot this image at ISO 400 so the post vignetting was a good idea to keep the focus on Jacqui. Hindsight is always 20/20, I probably would have darkend the background slightly more to make Jacqui pop out of the shot.

I quite like the strange angles of the building and you gotta love a big black car with a sexy girl.

I think I'll set up some of my images so they can be critiqued.

W00h00, my first ever critique!! So here goes...

I really like all these shots in the series, you've done a great job - composition, light, edits (ur not even in the reflection!) are all great!! I think the impact of the shot is excellent - the theme combining the graffiti with the car and your edits work to make a strking image.

However (and there's always a "but"!), 2 things partly outside your control reduce the effectiveness for me on this image - the car is too long (shrinking the model, your main subject), and it's not level ground (the wall is a giveaway!).

Personally, I'd try a tighter crop to bring more focus to the model (although I do realise that having quite an open shot is often the actual point, and you'd have to sacrifice some of the car!!). I'd also level the image according to the light boxes on the wall (rotate right 5-6 degrees), since I have no issue with the car being on the angle on a hill, but the building angle was the first thing I noticed. Hiding the windscreen is something I'm still on the fence about, I'd need to see a version where the windscreen was visible before falling off that fence either way!!

Dang these are great shots, I really like them!! Well done!! e.deviantart.com/emoticons/c/c… " width="25" height="25" alt="" title="Clap" /> e.deviantart.com/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)" />
