I was not expecting to find a longhorn beetle in early January. But it has been extremely warm so far, so I guess I should prepare for anything. Anyway, this guy made his way to my bathroom, where I discovered him after taking shower. At first glance it looked like a weird mosquito or a spider, but then I looked closer and saw those unmistakeable antennae and I knew, what I was looking at. The first longicorn of the year, Pogonocherus hispidus, that has decided to serve itself ona silver platter for me. Please excuse the bad lighting, that's the best I could do at night.
Once again proving, that sometimes I don't need to lift a finger to stumble upon something interesting.
