Description

Photographing animals is fascinating. Take ants for example, these guys are very agile and rarely stop for more than a second or two, but they can give you more time if you get their attention, which goes against everything I've learnt up to this point. Getting pretty much any other creature's attention is a sure fire way to make them flee. All I know is, that eventually I'll run into a situation, when the animal is actually cooperating, or indeed incapacitated in some manner, which allows me to get the pictures I desire.

I've run into a lot of ants recently, including one hilarious episode involving me inadvertently stepping into an ant nest and getting large forest ants all over my leg, which is hilarious in hindsight, but it was very unpleasant at the moment.

This guy has some mighty chompers by the way.
