trying to figure a way to make my wings :Iwill move to scraps once Ive gotten further with this.
its proving difficult with wings either being overly complicated or too simmplified or on the back
so I'm going to try and make ot up as I go along
I cant stitch you see but I can do other things maybe .
prehaps I will line the primaries with wire I dunno yet
will move to scraps later
the paper test was to see if feather would look right just stuck on so its only arms length though being apaper i could get the end feathers to stand

If I were you, I would add a bit of foam to it-Give them some body, and then fur it, I guess.

I can stitch and probably get some good felt for fethers and sow those up,I could make Zapdos wings but then there would be the problem of shipping it would cost alot to send something to another country and the distance is so great it would take forever to get to you so sadly I can't help with this.

You're very good at buidling and planning these things! I mean, you even got the layered look of the feathers!

i've seen one way it's been done with a crow suit.
i'll try to explain it was best as i can but i'm not very good at that. xD

now basically what i believe this person did is make arm sleeves and then the feathers out of maybe leather but i'm sure any light material like even felt will do, and attached it to the sleeves.
they've also got the feathers at the end of their arm-wings co-ordinated with their fingers for more mobility.
i'm not sure how you would get in more then one layer(?) of feathers though.

Well, If you have the time and money, go out and buy multiple feathers to overlap the card-stock. hen again I live in the US and you live in the UK, so we have different options.

i've used feathers before in a costume.
i don't know if there's a certain type you can get that's tougher then anything at a dollar store or walmart but they wore down pretty fast so that they were ratty and dirty looking.

I use the hawk-like feathers from Hobby-Lobby. They stayed on for years.
