You have you use an art program such as GIMP silly.

Oh, no you don't. Here. When you make frames, all of the separate pics, don't use movie maker. Go to Iaza.com and put the pictures together and animate it all. It'll be saved as a .gif, so when you go to submit in Deviantart, make sure to select the category "Digital art / Pixel art / Misc / Non-isemetric, or also Traditional art / Animations / Colored Animation . Then fill in everything else and there should be no problem.
