Fanart of hewie from the PS2 video game: haunting ground / dementoone of my all time favourite video games<3
I was playing haunting ground again today which is what inspired this, it is hewie, having just been shot , my first ever attempt and a bullet wound and blood on fur aswell as trying a new technique for fur which invovled drawing heach dash of it ;.;
my backgrounds suck as usual but what can you do , I also note that hewies face is very off as well as his posture , this is because I cant draw realistic white german shepherds for the life of my and forward facing animals are my weakness but I still like his eyes and kind of the wound , I gave him his collar because well I can XD

Ah, I really wish I could have gotten more into this game than I did but I really wasn't crazy about it's play style. I probably would have liked it more if it was a book I think. It had a great story and I loved Hewie.
Great job with your artwork, makes me want to pet Hewie and save him from whichever of the baddies chasing him. I like how it looks like he looked in the game but gives him a more real feel to it.

well its a survival horror game, I personally im very fond of its play because I'm a big fan of survival horror and I like my games to be more real with being defenseless and fighting back hard, but survival horror really is a style thats dying out now it really is a thing from the 90's so not many people are familar with it now.

Funny thing is, I love surivival horror games but for some reason the controls to me felt really strange. That and I swear I got a bugged disk when I played because Hewie was stuck in the wall more than he was following me.
I really do wish this game was novelized though. It would be fun.

hmm well hewie is not supposed to do that XD but i find the classic resident evils hard to play but i have to play them because i love the characters and story , haunting ground i was really good at compared to most games yet i have a friend who took forever to beat it so i think it is game style.
though i was very good at training hewie even in harder play XD hell yeah.
i would still like a book it would be great just like the bioshock and resident evil books afterall there is so much unkown in the game it really could use some sort of expansion.
though i reccomend atleast watching a playthrough to see it all the way through because its a game worth seeing all the way through XD

Alright so I finally watched a whole playthrough and I must say it was very good and I really do wish that I didn't cause the glitches of the gaming world or I would have had more fun. It's a curse I'm afraid.
Maybe Haunting ground deserves like a tv show about it or something or at least a tribute video because no one knows about this game. I wonder if G4 actually looks at the requests they get for that sort of stuff.

i guess it all depends of how your family feel about age ratings.
personally I dont think age determines how something will affect the mind considering people grow in different ways and at different times , ive met adults that will faint at the sight of blood and children who watch films like the exorcist and such.
or in other words its you who decides if your old enough are not but you wouldnt really find this game in a video game store anyway its quite uncommon and its old so it would have to be second hand you see so buying offline would be a better option if you knwo anyone that could ;.;

Haunting Ground is what made me find out there were white german shepards and made me want one.
German shepards are a soft spot for my family as they've been brilliant dogs for us.... but omg the white ones are so gorgeous.

I like the new way of doing fur, however I do feel that, being somewhat well knowleged on bullet wounds (no idea why), that the blood would cover a larger area, however it all depends of angle and everything ^^"
