Super Mario Bros Z is a Super Mario Bros and Sonic The Hedgehog fan animated YouTube and Newgrounds sprite series parodying Dragon Ball Z.
The story revolves around the characters of Mario, Luigi and Yoshi from Nintendo's Super Mario Bros meeting SEGA's Sonic The Hedgehog and The Ultimate Lifeform Shadow The Hedgehog after they come to The Mushroom Kingdom of collect The Chaos Emeralds and keep them out of the robotic hands of Mecha Sonic who seeks them out to achieve his ultimate form, rule the world and destroy Sonic and Shadow.
During their adventure; Mario, Luigi and Yoshi learn that before they met the two hedgehogs Mecha Sonic had reduced Sonic and Shadow's home-world Mobius to oblivion and had killed all of their friends and family in pursuit of The Chaos Emeralds.
However, there are other villains seeking out the power of The Chaos Emeralds for themselves that are from Mario's world like Bowser, The Axem Rangers, The Koopa Bros, King K. Rool, King Boo, Wario & Waluigi and Dr. Eggman from Sonic's world who had survived Mecha Sonic's genocidal rampage of destruction across Mobius.
Their adventures takes them to multiple locations across the Mario universe like Bower's Castle, King Boo's Mansion, The Pipe Maze, Donkey Kong's & King. K. Rool's Island, Yoshi's Island and many more iconic locations.
